When you hear Taimi Arvidson speak in her calm and methodical way, you’d never guess she’d been embedded in more than a couple prisons or taken vacation time to document an underground wrestling ring. A Portland (OR) native now based in Brooklyn, Taimi’s journalistic background and passion for discovering the true character of her subjects has led to a poignant and fascinating body of episodic content, films, and commercial work. Her work on Home (one of Apple TV’s first original docuseries) and Mars (from EPs Ron Howard and Brian Grazer) are just the tip of the iceberg.
The narrative depth and elevated visuals in Taimi's work reveal the world through an extraordinary and empathetic lens. She knows the importance of research and preparation better than anyone, but her background in competitive skiing gives her the muscle-memory for always thinking on her feet. When she’s not in pursuit of a new story, she’s still faster than anyone on the slopes and she cooks a mean filet mignon.
